Matthew has 10+ years experience in the Oil & Gas Land Services industry. Prior to Generation Land Management he served as Senior Manager of New Ventures for a leading oil & gas land services firm. His role consisted of business development and managing client’s needs across multiple basins. Prior to that he was the President/Owner of Domestic Energy Services. His company provided consulting for land, oilfield water, and mineral acquisition programs with a focus on the Appalachian Basin and Mid- Continent. Clients ranged from Fortune 500 Energy companies, Family owned businesses, and Private Equity groups. He began his career as a contract petroleum landman for Chesapeake Energy in 2008 for 3 years followed by 2 plus years as a contract petroleum landman for WPX Energy. Matthew was an integral part of the field land team that assisted in building Chesapeake Energy, a market leading land position in the core of the Marcellus shale. Matthew began his career at the landowner kitchen table and courthouses. He continues to bring the same passion, commitment, and ethics to his clients and landowners. Mr. Karlitz graduated from the State University of New York at Oswego with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing.
Peter is an experienced oil and gas attorney with extensive experience advising clients through negotiation and preparation of industry and vendor contracts and agreements. Peter’s practice focuses upon litigation, mineral title analysis and preparation, and mergers, acquisitions and divestitures for Fortune 500 companies. Peter received his J.D. from the University Of Tulsa College Of Law, where he served as the Student Bar Association President and Notes and Comments Editor for the Energy Law Journal. Peter completed his undergraduate degree at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill where he was a member of the Varsity tennis team. Throughout his career, Peter has drafted, negotiated, and closed oil and gas transactions valued in excess of $2 billion. As a landman, Peter has managed abstracting, curative, leasing and due diligence projects in the DJ, Powder River, Bakken, SCOOP, STACK, Eagle Ford, Marcellus, Hugoton and Permian basins. He has played integral role for clients by creating due diligence templates for them to use to properly identify and cure relevant defects.
Paul has 10+ years experience in GIS mapping on behalf of energy companies. He has collaborated with companies to aid their development of GIS Infrastructure and data management to produce digital and analog representation of assets. He began his career assisting Chesapeake Energy’s GIS needs in the northeast Marcellus Shale. Paul has since then assisted clients in an array of GIS support functions. Managing of ESRI Arc GIS 10.1 to maintain sufficient workflow. Extensive use of Arc GIS software 10.1 as well as Auto Cad and Adobe esign software. Responsibilities have also included; designing of new maps for leasehold areas to indicate the client’s strategic positioning; Idenitfy and contrast clients to their competitor’s footholds in the oil and gas fields. Experience in creating and editing shp files and geodatabases. Production of cross reference maps overlaying tax, farm, and topographic maps. Mapping Experience and data in PA, NY, OH, WV, TN, KY, ND, MI, CO, KS, NE, WY and UT Both PLSS, and metes and bounds descriptions. Paul works direct with clients to make sure they are getting exactly what they need.
